As many of you will already be aware, Annie Barr International has been established in China for 2 years now. This means CEO and Clinical Director, Annie Barr, and other team members are required to make regular visits.
One of our many clients in the region are Huadong, one of the largest and most reputable pharmaceutical companies in China. Last month after a series of discussions and visits, Annie went out to sign an MOU agreement with them in a highly publicised ceremony. This MOU outlines how our two companies intend to work together to improve healthcare in the country. Other companies involved in the ceremony were the likes of: Dazhong International Biomedic, Beijing Medical Technology Co. and Mayo clinic, an American non-profit organisation committed to clinical practice, who are regarded as one of the best medical practice operators in the US.
Huadong are looking to establish a number of high quality community care clinics, as primary care in China is severely lacking and hospitals are under great pressure. These are to be combined with a homecare service targeting those with high risk factors, disabilities and chronic disease.
In order to achieve the high quality service that they desire, Huadong have called upon Annie Barr’s expertise. We will start by providing a programme of tailored training to develop their workforce, initially relating to elderly care and home care. While we have the expertise they require, it is important to work collaboratively with the organisation to ensure training is adapted to local culture and policies!
