Annie Barr Associates was honoured with winning the UK Trade and Investment’s competition ‘Fast Track to Dubai 2012’. The winners were announced in September. Among five others, Annie Barr Associates was picked as the winner from a pool of 50 competitors in the region.
The Fast Track to Dubai competition was run to celebrate the launch of Emirate’s new Boeing service from Newcastle to Dubai. The UKTI, in conjunction with Emirates Airlines and Rotana hotels created the dazzling prize, it includes: a market visit to Dubai in November, return Emirates flights from Newcastle and hotel accommodation at the Al Ghurair Rayhaan. Plus there will be approximately £1,000 towards market research, through the UKTI’s Overseas Market Introduction Service (OMIS).
Before and during the visit, Annie Barr Associates will get the benefit of a UKTI International Trade Advisor. After arrival in Dubai, there will be a reception at the British Embassy and other organised meetings. This trip will be an exciting opportunity for Annie Barr Associates to forge strong links with Dubai, the bustling and thriving economic centre of the Middle East. The Emirate states have a strong tradition of innovation and entrepreneurship along with a cosmopolitan mix of expats. So there should be plenty of interesting people to meet, and lots of great ideas being thrown around.
Annie Barr Associates have already successfully exported their healthcare consultancy services to many regions of the globe: Australia, Singapore, Malaysia and Germany and more. The ‘Fast Track to Dubai 2012’ prize recognises this past work; and the likelihood of doing this again in the future. Annie Barr Associates hopes to win plenty of new business in the region.
